Driven by Purpose, Delivered with Passion

Our Story

Neal & Nettie’s started with a simple belief: everyone deserves access to healthy food in underserved communities.

Our name honors two people who built something from nothing. Neal and Nettie were grocery store owners who believed in serving their community. Their legacy lives on in our mission today.

We’ve seen what happens when communities are left without fresh, affordable food. We’ve lost loved ones to health conditions made worse by poor food access. That’s why we’re stepping up with a better way.

Until we open our full grocery store, we’re bringing healthy food to underserved communities through:

We’re proud to be part of a movement to bring healthy food in underserved communities.

And the elephant in our logo? It stands for strength, unity, and compassion—values we carry into everything we do.

Our Vision

At Neal & Nettie’s, we envision a world where everyone—regardless of where they live or what they earn—has access to fresh, nutritious, and culturally relevant food. We see food as a bridge to health, dignity, and connection, and we strive to be a trusted partner in underserved communities. Through compassion, integrity, and innovation, we work to address food insecurity, promote wellness, and empower individuals to take control of their health. More than a grocery store, we are a beacon of hope, fostering unity and creating a lasting legacy of strength for future generations.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Neal & Nettie’s?
Neal & Nettie’s is an innovative food initiative dedicated to bringing affordable, culturally relevant, and nutritious food to underserved communities. Until we can open a brick-and-mortar grocery store, we are using creative approaches like virtual cooking classes, pop-ups, and community partnerships to make fresh food more accessible.
The elephant symbolizes strength, unity, and compassion—all values that drive Neal & Nettie’s. My grandmother, Neal & Nettie’s daughter, was a potter and loved making elephants, which became a meaningful representation of our family’s legacy.
